Working Group on Digitalisation
& FinTechs
With the increase in digitalisation efforts and the growing role of FinTechs in today’s financial landscape, ICC India felt the need to create a dedicated working group (WG) to get a better understanding of existing environment and coordinate among various stakeholders to facilitate a uniform, harmonised and sustainable growth. The WG intends to focus on the digitalisation efforts taking place around us as also bring together the efforts of FinTechs to extend financial inclusion, improve the daily lives of people, facilitate trade, and spur growth. The WG aims to support ICC’s ongoing efforts on digitalisation; work closely with ICC's Digital Standards Initiative (DSI) in Paris & Singapore; maintain a strong, permanent dialogue with regulators and supervising bodies; develop tools to support industry digitalisation, infrastructure, compliance; and suggest amendments to the existing legal framework to support digitalisation as also the FinTech ecosystem.
The WG will also provide the necessary depth to ICC India and its representatives on various global platforms to put forth a cohesive, widely representative and a strong voice from India on key issues.
